ECBA CONCILIATION TRAINING SEMINAR
In accordance with SJC RULE 8 Requirements

If you have considered volunteering for any of our pro bono conciliation  programs, this seminar will provide the necessary training requirements.  It will be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2005, at Angelica's Restaurant in Middleton, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  A continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served.  Certificates of completion will be provided for all who attend.  This seminar fulfills the SJC Rule 8 training qualifications for all Massachusetts court-connected conciliation programs, and is free to ECBA members in good standing.

The SJC Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution was formed to create uniform rules and guidelines for all court-connected alternative dispute resolution.  To participate as a neutral (conciliator, mediator, arbitrator) in any Massachusetts Trial Court ADR program, certain requirements must be met. The Rule 8, Qualification of Neutrals outlines several methods of qualification for each class of neutral.  (Full text may be viewed at: www.mass.gov/courts/admin/legal/redbook1.html).
